ABOUT THIS GAME The Hideaway is an exploration and discovery low-poly game with realistic survival game mechanics. Welcome to a distant future where all humans have left the earth hundreds of years ago. Due to lack of maintenance, your private ship on-board computer has failed and you end up alone in various harsh environments. You will now have to survive, and use what's left of your instincts and abilities to understand your environment again. Gameplay In The Hideaway Exploration mode, you'll explore and discover many different biomes and microenvironments, from fauna to flora, with realistic meteorological events, sounds and much more, in a calm and soothing experience. Following your only objective : repairing your antenna. However, if you play in Survival mode, nature will exercise its rights over you and may become either your home or your worst enemy. In the survival mode of The Hideaway, diseases, global energy, hunger, thirst, body temperature, exterior temperature, blood pressure and volume, poisonous plants, and much more will make the wilderness a harsh place, Features Explore : Explore freely different beautiful and lively environments, from small forest biomes to large islands and deserts Observe : Many sorts of animals will be surrounding you during your journey from hares to deers Experience : Mother nature can sometimes be really impressive and beautiful, from tornadoes to snow storms to rarer events like eclipses, full moons, northern lights, starry nights and many more.. Experience pure nature Survive : You will have to explore the wild in order to find food, water and avoid poisonous plants in order to survive Permanent Death : Your only way to return home is to survive, if you're dead, you've failed. No question of holding your hand Face the elements : Body statistics are realistically simulated in The Hideaway. In survival mode, you will have to regularly check your vital signs, from blood volume to body temperature, energy... in order to stay alive Build : You will be able to build many types of wooden structures with logs / wood pieces that you will need to find in your environment Customize : You will also have access to a relatively large choice of furniture to completely customize and personalize your buildings Listen to nature : Simply listening at the different atmospheres, music, water drops, rivers, wind, seas, weather events and the different animals sounds will make you feel the environment like never before Minimalistic UI : The UI Is very minimalistic, it's only here to tell you what you need to know and can be completely hidden by pressing the Tab key by default Procedural worlds : Each game will be different.
